| A completely renovated country house in a natural setting in the Sierra de Cádiz, just a few minutes away from Olvera. The house had all the luxury details, such as heating and air conditioning in each room, a ping pong table and everything you need to spend a few unforgettable days with the family. The house was in perfect condition and had a very tasteful decoration, maintaining the aesthetics of a traditional country house but with modern furniture and decoration, with dishes or paintings made by them. The host, Jenny, was attentive to making sure everything was perfect during our stay, keeping the house impeccable and taking care of the outdoor areas every day first thing in the morning so as not to disturb us. In short, we totally recommend visiting the Los Meleros estate. For us, who are fond of visiting the Sierra de Cádiz, it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had, we would definitely repeat. LAURENCE UK AUGUST 2024 The property was amazing, set in beautiful countryside but close to the town of Olvera. Jenny and Liz, the owners were so lovely and were so friendly, understanding and helpful. The farmhouse itself was perfect with great attention to detail. Jenny and Liz have a pottery business a few minutes walk from the house and had lovely pieces and prints throughout the farmhouse. The farmhouse had a great swimming pool and the terraces were very relaxing in the morning and evening sun. PAUL IRELAND JULY 2024 We had a wonderful August week at Jenny and Liz’s place. It’s more beautiful than the pics and extremely peaceful – just the sound of the crickets in the evening :). The pool area is gorgeous, surrounded by grass and totally private. The house was incredibly well stocked, with thoughtful touches like coffee, toilet roll, tea bags, soap bars etc. Jenny and Liz were extremely friendly and we enjoyed a brilliant pottery making session at their nearby property, including some ‘fairly’ successful goes on the potter’s wheel! The kids enjoyed every second (nearly as much as the adults). We enjoyed trips to Granada (2 hrs), a nearby swimming spot (Zahara de la Sierra Playita, 35 mins) and the kids loved a €3 trip to the castle in town (7 mins). But best of all was chilling in the wonderful space and cooking fresh food every eve outside. Loved picking figs and grapes from next to us and above our heads :). Beautifully and practically updated with comfortable furniture and great kitchen and outdoor spaces. Original art and pottery throughout makes a personal touch. The house is in a beautiful setting graced by flowers, roses, olive trees, fruit trees, and a sparkling pool in a grove of fragrant honey suckle bushes. Jenny and Elizabeth were welcoming and friendly. The town is easily accessed for groceries and strolling. Kid friendly too. I know this is easy to say, but we wish we could have stayed much longer and hope we can come back! JOAN USA MAY 2024 We are just back from a truly wonderful week. Jenny was always quick to respond and incredibly welcoming and helpful. The house is even better than it looks in the photos, comfortable, peaceful, well-equipped and perfectly situated. The pool is lovely and the gardens are full of fruit trees. One of the highlights of our week was a morning pottery session with Jenny and Liz, who were incredibly encouraging and patient and we all surpassed our expectations. The small town of Olvera has everything we needed and we managed day trips to Ronda, Seville and Cordoba. The only downside of our trip was that we all wished we could stay longer. ANTONIO JESUS SPAIN DECEMBER 2023 Los Meleros is a perfect house for eight set in a beautiful finca with space for relaxing on the shaded verandah under the bougainvillea, the wisteria and sweet smelling jasmine and by the sparkling pool. The house is very comfortable with beautifully designed bedrooms, bathrooms and cosy indoor areas for early spring evenings. We saw booted eagles, bee-eaters and swifts from the verandah and heard cuckoos, nightingales and owls. Jenny gave us a warm welcome and was very attentive. The location is perfect for walking into the small white town of Olvera, cycling the Via Verde and catching processions for Semana Santa. The house is equipped with beautiful hand made ceramics made by the owners in their pottery and we had a great session making pots with them. Can’t wait to return. It’s a little piece of heaven. Thank you . JEFF UK APRIL 2022 My husband and I along with his adult children and their girlfriends just spent a glorious week at Los Meleros. The house is a perfect size for 3 couples, with enough room for everyone to have their own space without feeling too cavernous. The house itself is charming, beautifully reformed and sparkling clean. The kitchen is well equipped, and we cooked many delicious meals, generally eating on one of the two charming patios. We loved the location, it feels peaceful and secluded, but yet it’s an 8 minute drive to the nearest village or a 45 minute walk. The pool is an added bonus, especially after a day of sightseeing. You couldn’t ask for more delightful hosts in Jenny and Elizabeth. We benefited from their generosity of knowledge and produce (the tomatoes were incredible) and took a ceramics class in their studio which was great fun. All in all a wonderful place to stay whether you are looking to disconnect or explore this wonderful part of the world. HELEN SPAIN AUGUST 2021 The house (5 minutes drive from Olvera) was completely renovated, tastefully decorated and fully equipped. The beautiful garden with the large swimming pool and the cozy covered terraces have provided many hours of relaxation and fun. And of course we enjoyed the area with its special nature, the beautiful white villages and the various cities (at a slightly greater distance). Last but not least was the contact with the very hospitable owners. In short: we had a fantastic holiday and will definitely come back here! She has helped with all the requests that we have made. She has given us products from her garden. Everything to make it a great family vacation.
